Finn Partners’ dynamic and fast-growing 80 person Integrated Marketing team is looking for a Director of Business Development. We are seeking someone preferably in the Bay Area or LA, and work could be mostly remote after initial onboarding. We’re looking for a dynamic, dedicated networker that has a passion for creativity, using and applying insights and data, and helping clients conceptualize integrated marketing campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build profitable revenue for the Finn Partners Integrated Marketing team made up of marketing strategy, research, content, paid/media buying, creative and digital services
  • Identify, qualify and track targeted opportunities for the company to achieve growth in targeted markets and with targeted clients, in alignment with business strategy and quarterly sales targets
  • Substantially grow and maintain a pipeline of viable prospective new client prospects and opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams in order to ensure that assignments are built for profitability and that client needs are met
  • Keep abreast of industry, economic/business trends and advancements that may affect potential new business opportunities, and apply knowledge in a timely and effective manner; help FINN continue to innovate
  • Contribute to improvement in the bid process including presentation quality, competitiveness, and overall approach
  • Some days in office required, up to 50% travel may be required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or communications
  • At least five years of demonstrated business development/sales experience, preferably in advertising/digital/marketing
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Good working knowledge of marketing and digital including digital insights, social media, advertising, marketing automation, design and web
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing new business
  • Solid list of contacts and strong desire to network externally and build new relationships; proven ability to connect with marketing leaders and C-Suite within organizations
  • Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative nature
  • Leadership skills that model collaboration and effective working relationships with staff, clients and vendors
