Meet the team! This week, Freddie Softley, senior account manager, spills the beans on how she has discovered the joys of gardening and her plans to finally get married this year!
What brings you joy?
With more time on my hands and lots more time at home than I am used to, spending time in my garden has helped break up the monotony of lockdown and counteract long hours on Zoom. As we are coming into Spring and hopefully some nicer weather, watching the garden come to life with flowers planted in Winter has brought me a little spark of joy and optimism for the future.
What are you looking forward to this year?
I am getting married this Summer after our wedding was postponed last year so I am looking forward to finally celebrating with my family and friends and a long-awaited honeymoon! I think we will plan a bigger trip in 2022 when the world opens up again but I am definitely planning to get away later this year even if just for a short trip to feel the sand between my toes!
What key trend should we keep an eye on this year?
I am sure this will come as no surprise, but the pandemic has taught us the importance of connecting with family and friends, so after a year of being apart, we are already starting to see a trend for multi-generational travel. Whether its exploring a new destination together or returning to much loved family holiday spots, after a year of staying at home, people will choose to spend some quality time together away from the pressures and distractions of everyday life to celebrate all of those missed birthdays and special occasions and reconnect and recharge after a difficult year.
